  • What are the procedures to order?
    Customer issues a PO so we may verify if you’re an existing or new customer.

    Existing Customer: Based on previous order(s), we begin processing your PO.

    New Customer: Fill out required dealer application form to setup your credit limit and net terms. Or, if paying with credit card, the credit check may be skipped and a new customer is entered into the system. After this, order entry and processing are done for the new order before sending it to Production.

    You will get an acknowledgement email of your Purchase Order received and email when the product is shipped with a tracking number.

    Is the Powder Coating environmentally friendly?
    Yes, several things make powder coating a green process. It generates negligible VOC’s and no air pollution, produces less hazardous waste than wet paint, is recyclable/reclaimable and meets or exceeds EPA standards. Learn more.

    Is steel a green material?
    Yes. Steel is one of the most eco-friendly materials used. It is endlessly recyclable – some steel mills only use scrap to produce new steel, there is relatively little energy used to produce it and the waste it produces is reusable. All our products are made using 100% recycled US steel.

  • How quickly can I get a quote?
    Quotes are usually turned around within 1 hour during business hours.

    How soon will I receive my order?
    Stocked gates usually ship 2-3 business days after the order is placed. Custom gates typically ship 7-10 days business days after the order is placed.

    I only received two L- brackets for the top of the gate. Don't I also need brackets for the bottom?
    No. Your gate rests on bearing washers, and drop pins that fit into holes in the floor that you’ve drilled.

    What if I don’t want to drill holes in my floor to mount my single or pair gate?
    You can special order gate with special brackets designed to hold the gate off the floor please consult with our sales department.

    Do I need to drill holes in the floor for my pair gate’s self-securing drop pin?
    Yes. Self-securing drop pins, which must be inserted into floor-holes, are required for pair gates to join properly in the center, when closed.

    Can I install the "L" bracket up, instead of down?
    Yes. If you want easy access to the bracket bolts. However, this configuration provides less security.

    Should I lubricate the gate?
    Normally your gate requires no maintenance. In harsh environments however (severe winters, coastal conditions), lubricating the gate periodically with white grease is a good idea.

    When do I need an "H" bracket?
    You can install an "H" bracket above where two sides of a pair gate meet. Each half of the gate joins to the "H" bracket, providing greater rigidity and security. Note that an "H" bracket installed in your opening will reduce clearance height of forklifts and other vehicles.

    What are your color options? Please refer to our Finishes page. If custom color is required, customer provides a RAL#, we match the requested color at an additional cost.

    Please contact us directly for turnkey pricing on projects and available installation in your area.

    Do you ship material overseas?
    Yes, we only ship to ports and the customer is responsible for all forms needed for customs.

    How can I get an estimate for wire mesh from Loss Prevention Solution?
    We request drawings and specifications in order to provide a quote. Once given requested information, we draft a quote based on customer’s requirements.

    What are the procedures to order wire mesh?

    What is the average project lead time?
    Following 100% approval of shop drawings and verification of field dimensions, typical project lead time is 4-6 weeks. But with extended lead time, it may take 6-10 weeks after 100% approval of shop drawings and verification of field dimensions. Once order is placed and shop drawings are done, accurate lead time will be provided upon received approvals.

    How quickly can I get a quote?
    Quotes are usually turned around within 24-48 hours.

    What are your color options?
    Please refer to our Finishes page. If custom color is required, customer provides a RAL#, and Acorn will match the requested color at an additional cost.

    What are your finish options?
    Standard:
    Powder Coated
    Other Options: 10-Gauge Pre-Galvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, Electro Galvanized, Electro Galvanized + Powder Coated

    Hot Dip Galvanized is not available on Folding Gates and Expanded Metal products.

    Do you only manufacture using a diamond pattern or are other patterns available?
    LPS only manufactures woven diamond mesh.

    What is the diameter size of standard and heavy-duty mesh?
    10-Gauge standard wire mesh has a .135-inch diameter, and 6-Gauge heavy duty has a .192" diameter.

    Do you sell rolls of wire, is it pre-fabricated mesh?
    Only prefabricated wire panels.

    Do you use posts to anchor your partition?
    No, posts are not required unless requested. Our wire mesh panels are bolted together and anchored to the floor with floor shoe connections.

    Is sheet metal welded or anchored to the wire mesh?
    Welded to the wire mesh.

    What is the lead time for initial submittals?
    After order is received by the drafting department, it will take 2-4 working days. If extended lead times apply due to the size of the drafting project, we will inform you of the extra lead time needed.

    What is the lead time for revised drawings after marked submittal is received?
    Revisions typically take 2-3 working days. If extended lead times apply due to the size of the drafting project, we will inform you of the extra lead time needed. What is the lead time for revised drawings after field dimensions are received? Revisions with field dimensions take 1-2 working days. If extended lead times apply due to the size of the drafting project, we will inform you of the extra lead time needed.

    Does LPS provide submittals prior to receiving a purchase order?
    No, LPS only provides submittals for each specific project after receiving a PO and after a credit check.
